It starts with sourcing vintage out-of-style jewelry (mostly beaded and freshwater pearl pieces). And ends with us upcycling them into fresh contemporary designs. By hand. 

Because fashion is fun and waste diversion is hot.

Meet The Founder

Sarah carter is the Founder of Carter Wiley. She is a life-long artist, maker and marketer. 

In 2020, many started baking sour dough. Sarah started making jewelry. She discovered that designing jewelry and crafting it by hand created a sense of calm, joy, and purpose during even the most difficult of days. A place to explore, recover, revel, and grow.

In 2021 She read Kelly Small's book The Conscious Creative and immediately began working with reclaimed materials. Since then the Carter Wiley team and community has worked to reclaim hundreds of dusty out-of-date pieces. A big shout out to all who help me source, in particular Sarah's aunt Jane who will duck into any vintage shop she passes. 

More than anything Sarah loves creating, traveling, my people, meeting new buds, and spreading the joy of a good stack.
